DJ Katsunami here, writing all the way from sunny Manila, Philippines. Just recently I had my first gig over at Hong Kong and I can honestly say, it has been the best gig thus far. It's hard to call this whole DJing-business a job - it's almost as if you're being paid to dance and have fun. And as many of you who have attended my gigs before know, that I go absolutely crazy behind the DJ booth whether the room is packed or not. I performed at Vertigo Ultralounge, a very chill lounge that has never hosted an electro DJ before, so I initially was very excited yet nervous about it. But, as soon as I got up for my set at 1:00 a.m, the whole place was pumping. It was an absolute madfest, I was amazed on the energy that the audience exuded. Whenever I am behind turntables, I always dance and go crazy toward the music - it's a natural thing. However, it makes an incredible difference when a DJ can feed off the enthusiasm and excitement from the audience.

Hong Kong was amazing and the fact that I also got the opportunity to meet some idiosyncratic and talented DJs was fantastic. I loved every second of it and I'm looking forward to flying back to party with the crazy Hong Kong partygoers again.

I was so inspired from my Hong Kong gig that as soon as I arrived back in Manila, I started working on yet another mix. So, I've created another party mix that samples my style of music while showcasing my favourite electronic songs at the moment.
