Earlier last year whilst I was still in the middle of designing a new collection, I was working into some retro designs, vivid pop colors, such as celebrity microphone, and ‘on air', a 80's influenced grouping of designs, that night I was out for a drink when I bumped into the Retro Kidz, they personally reminded me a little bit of the movie Kid ‘n' play, one of my favorites old school movies!
I have known them from being out and about in New York for a while, but it suddenly struck me, there could not be a better match to represent my new collection than the Retro Kidz?!
They were indeed the best choice I could of made, upon the shoot, after working with many many stylists in my career, none have ever produced the way the Retro Kidz did! They had the best styling and accessories I could not even imagine to bring, from Boombox shaped rings, to the coolest track suits, Hats, pants and sweaters every one being retro originals, mind-blowing stuff, added with THE actual giant ghetto Blaster from Madonna's video, supplied by Gavin Bond, with built in disco lights, the deal was sealed! I can honestly say that was one of the most fun shoots I have worked on!
